Guwahati Crush Silchar by an Innings in Pulin Das U-14 Semi-final League Clash

GUWAHATI: Guwahati recorded a commanding innings and 24-run victory over Silchar in their semi-final league match of the 3rd Pulin Das U-14 Inter District Cricket Tournament at the ACA Cricket Academy Ground, North Guwahati.

Batting first, Guwahati piled up a formidable 342 for 6 declared in 73 overs, putting the opposition under immediate pressure. In reply, Silchar struggled against a disciplined Guwahati bowling attack and were bowled out for 105 in 45.1 overs in their first innings. Ayush Roy top-scored with 28 off 63 balls, hitting four boundaries, while Mayank Nag contributed 20 off 82 balls . For Guwahati, Hirakjyoti Kashyap and Shubham Mazumdar were the standout performers, claiming three wickets each.

Asked to follow on, Silchar showed more resistance in their second innings but were eventually bowled out for 213. Mayank Nag led the fightback with a well-made 62 off 144 balls, including 10 fours, while Rajdeep Basfor added a useful 36 off 57 balls.

Neerav Jain starred with the ball in the second innings, picking up an impressive five wickets for 44 runs in 14 overs. Hridayjyoti Kashyap provided good support with two wickets.
