GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Sports Association (GSA) has postponed its 67th Foundation Day celebration, originally scheduled for Friday, in light of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Expressing deep sorrow and condemnation of the incident, the GSA stated that a new date for the event will be announced later.

GSA General Secretary Devajit Saikia said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and everyone affected by this horrific tragedy. This is a time of national mourning. The entire sporting community stands together in grief and solidarity.”

As a tribute, the GSA Senior District cricket team will wear black armbands during their upcoming Nuruddin Ahmed Trophy match on April 26-27. The Association has also called on all affiliated clubs and members to observe a moment of silence before their fixtures in the coming week.
