Guwahati:  Today marks Saptami of Durga Puja in Assam, but the celebrations this year are much quieter than usual due to the passing of beloved singer Zubeen Garg. Despite the subdued mood, devotees continued to visit puja pandals to seek blessings from Maa Durga.

Most pandals canceled cultural programs and focused only on religious rituals and ceremonies. The festival is continuing, but without the usual excitement and grandeur of previous years.
