State Government sanctions Rs 2 crore each for Dima Hasao & Cachar

GUWAHATI: The State Government has sanctioned Rs 2 crore each for the Dima Hasao and Cachar districts as gratuitous relief for provision of foodstuff, baby food, utensils, animal fodder and other relief to the flood-affected people.

The gratuitous relief was been sanctioned under the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) by the Revenue & Disaster Management Department vide an order on Friday.

It may be mentioned that the State Government had earlier sanctioned gratuitous relief of Rs 59.59 crore to various districts and sub-divisions at the time of the onset of the ongoing bout of floods.
