Two drug peddlers arrested with brown sugar in Assam's Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh: Dibrugarh police arrested two drug peddlers and seized 4.19 gram of brown sugar from their possession while they were carrying the contraband drugs in their vehicle on Thursday night. They have been identified as Pragyajit Hazarika (30) and Uddit Gohain(27) of Lahowal.

After getting specific inputs, Lahowal police launched an operation and arrested both of them while they were in the vehicle carrying drugs. Sources said that they had been supplying drugs in the Mohanbari area for a long time. Police have seized two vehicles bearing registration numbers (AS 01M C7889) and (AS 06-BC 8766). "Both of them had been running the drug racket for a long time and were supplying drugs in the Mohanbari area," said a police official.
