ParamanandaRajbongshi is the son of Late Anandi Ram Rajbongshi. He is 62 years old and a resident of Patidarrang Village, Patidarrang, Darrang district, Assam.

Career and Politics
He is a pensioner. He was Associate Professor at Pragjyotish College, Guwahati. He is a writer and is the former President of Assam Sahitya Sabha, the highest literary body of Assam. He is going to fight as a BJP candidate from the Sipajhar constituency which is in the Darrang district.
He has a case against him under Section 494 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC)
for marrying twice while his earlier wife is still alive.
