The nation celebrates 157th Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, the man behind composing India’s national anthem. He was the first person of Indian origin and also first Asian to be awarded the Nobel Prize. He received the prize for Literature in 1913. Tagore was given a nickname by Mahatma Gandhi and was called Gurudev with love and respect.
