4.7 Magnitude Earthquake in Assam, mild tremors felt in many states of North East

Within a fortnight another earthquake hit Assam as a mild magnitude earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale jolted the state today.

At around 9-17 A.M. the tremors of the earthquake felt in all states of Northeast. Official reports said that the epicenter of the quake is at Barpeta of Assam.

Two back to back tremors were felt in Guwahati, as well as many parts of Assam, Arunanchal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, and Nagaland.

The second tremor felt in Assam today at 9.21 AM.

Due to last short period of time measuring in seconds no damage of properties or casualties have been reported so far in the Earthquake in Assam.
