Former Cricketer Kevin Pietersen & team to shoot a Documentary on one-horned rhinos of Kaziranga National Park

Guwahati: Former England cricket captain and now a world noted rhino conservationist Kevin Pieterson today met Assam Forests and Environment Minister Parimal Suklabaidiya in Guwahati.

He was accompanied by a team of professional’s video shooters from Australia.

The whole team led by Pieterson has landed in Assam to make a Documentary on the world-famous one-horned rhinos of Kaziranga National Park. Pieterson has also expressed his willingness to take part in the upcoming opening ceremony of the Kaziranga Utsav on the 11th of March at Kohra.

On interacting with the former player of England, Minister Parimal Suklabaidiya has expressed his sincere gratitude for his noble thought & endeavour which he has initiated for the conservation of rhinos worldwide.

The Forest Minister has also thanked him for giving special emphasis for highlighting & raising awareness for the one-horned rhinos of Kaziranga National Park.

Notably, Keivin has also congratulated the State Forest Minister for his gigantic achievement of bringing down the figures of rhino poaching across the state to zero in recent times.

Giving a brief overview of the natural flora & fauna of Assam, Minister Parimal Suklabaidiya suggested some key spots for visit viz. Manas National Park, Pobitora Wildlife Santuary, etc. to the rhino conservationist.

Needless to mention, the Forest Minister has also appraised the various landmark initiatives which have been taken in recent times under the leadership of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in respect to the protection of the wildlife of Assam through the means of latest methods & technologies.

The fruitful meeting with Kevin Pieterson was also attended by Minister Sanjay Kishan & MLA Binod Hazarika and Rhino Awareness campaigner Julin Baruah.
