Bongaigaon: In a tragic incident, around 30 people were reported injured during a head-on collision between a public bus and a Tata Sumo on Tuesday at Majgaon area under Bongaigaon District.
As per sources, one person was reported to have died on the spot. The deceased person has been identified as Abdul Gufur Ali.
Sources informed that the bus bearing registration number AS- 19A-5721 was heading towards North Salmara from Bongaigaon when a speedy Tata Sumo bearing registration number AS 01CC 6360 coming from the opposite direction hits the public bus from the front and fell into the nearby paddy field.
Meanwhile, all the injured passengers were rushed to Bongaigaon Civil Hospital for better medication.
