380 home quarantined across Hailakandi

HAILAKANDI: 380 stranded persons who came back home from different parts of Assam in the past couple of days have been placed under home quarantine for 28 days.

The district health authorities here disclosed that 380 persons, including 22 persons on Saturday, have been home quarantined immediately on their arrival.

"Close watch would be kept on them during the quarantined period of 28 days with surveillance teams visiting them to see whether they are following the quarantined guidelines," said Joint Director of Health Services, Dr Ramesh Chandra Dwivedy.

126 surveillance teams are working at ground zero on Saturday. Of the 254 swab samples, 245 have turned out to be negative with one COVID-19 death.
