57th Teachers’ Day celebrated in Karimganj

Silchar: Maharshi Sandipan Vidyapith, Badarpur in Karimganj district, celebrated the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan as 57th Teachers’ Day at the school premises.

The programme was organized and conducted by the students and the members of the students’ committee ‘Kishore Bharati’ of the school. It was followed by the bright luminosity and school prayers. A total number of 200 students were present in the programme. Students of different classes performed various activities like solo song, group song, group dance and speeches.

The school’s main motto was to give respect and tribute to the one of the greatest souls and the second President of India Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Pinku Malakar, principal of the school, deliberated his valuable words for the students on how a teacher plays an importance role in his life for the students. According to him teachers must be very polite, dedicated and friendly towards a student. He also threw light on the life and times of Dr Radhakrishnan. Later, the members of the students’ committee of the school gave a certificate as a t oken of honour to the teaching staff and non-teaching staff.
