Silchar: Gunotsav is a quality enhancement initiative of the State of Assam for bringing about improvement in learning level of students at elementary level.
It is observed in each and every government school. Gunotsav programme was conducted at Lalumia L P School, established in the year 1981, at village Rampur in Barkhola police station under Salchappra block on Wednesday.
The external evaluator Chandra Mohan Gogoi discussed issues, problems and concerns of the school with Dinesh Chandra Malakar, headmaster of the school. Gogoi met the members of the school managing committee as well the teachers, staff, students and local people.
Among others present at the meeting included Mayjul Haque Laskar, liaison officer and Rustana Begam Barbhuiya, president, school managing committee. Presently there are 3 teachers and 37 students in the School.
