Hailakandi: District Chairman of Inner Wheel Club Dist 324, Puspa Golchha inaugurated two Happy Schools in Hailakandi district on Thursday. Golchha, who was on her official visit to Hailakandi, inaugurated the Happy Schools at Ananta Vidya Niketan and at Hrishi Arabinda Vidyapith. Former District Chairman Sudha Mundra was also present. Inner Wheel Club donated desk benches, games, water filters, shoes, bags and other study related materials.
Moreover, sanitary napkin vending machine was installed at Women’s College in presence of the District Chairman and President of Inner Wheel Club, Tanusree Chanda. Tanusree, in her address, said the club is working specially for the benefit of women and children and for the past three months working relentlessly to convert two Happy Schools. The club awarded three students of Sishu Sadan English School in an essay writing competition. Moreover, sewing materials were handed over to the underprivileged women who have undergone vocational training initiated by the club. Member of Inner Wheel Club of Silchar Shilpi Ghoah, Rotarian Alok Mahabir, Rtn.Samiran Paul, Rtn. Dr. PK Mazumder, Rtn.Arup Halder and teaching and non-teaching staff of the school were also present.
