Silchar: Acting on a tip of specific and secret information about a group of criminals who were cheating common people by exchanging original ATM cards with duplicate ATM cards and stealing money from ATM room from various places of Cachar and Hailakandi district, Cachar police conducted an operation at Loknathpur under Dholai police station on Friday night.
Police has recovered 5 numbers of ATM cards in various names, cash worth Rs.99,000 and one air gun pistol from their procession. In this regard, a case has been registered and investigation has also been started.
