Silchar, July 13: Acting on a tip off, Rangirkhari police apprehended three thieves, Sujon Uddin Mazumder (26), son of Monir Uddin Mazumder, Hemanta Das (45), son of Siron Das and Nitai Das (35), son of Makhon Das, on Thursday night. Rangirkhari police station in-charge Sahabuddin Choudhury said that they arrested Sujon Uddin after seeing CCTV footage. He was arrested from Meherpur. Upon interrogating him, police came to know about his two other partners in crime. Theft materials and instruments have been recovered by police from the shops of both Hemanta and Nitai. Sujon and Hemanta are residents of Meherpur, Silchar while Nitai Das comes from Ashram road, Silchar.
