GUWAHATI: A team of the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Central Guwahati Police District (CGPD) and the Chandmari Police Station arrested one Sahnur Ali of Pub Bhaskar Nagar on Tuesday after a raid at his home led to recovery of 0.97 gm of heroin and five vials.
Meanwhile, in another incident, a team of the East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) from the Jorabat Outpost of the Basistha Police Station intercepted a Maruti Zen (ML10C9707) with 40 Kg of ganja at Jorabat on Monday.
Police sources said that three peddlers - KL Marwein, Vian Nongrum (both from Mawlai) and Pari Dewri of Khanapara - have been arrested in this connection.
