GUWAHATI: Under the leadership of Kishore Kalita, president of AALSA, the association organized 'Green Diwali' at Seneh, Bhabada Devi Memorial Philanthrophic Trust at Kahilipara. Keeping in view the present situation, the association has celebrated this Diwali 'pollution free' by prohibiting burning of firecrackers.
In the event the members of the association have given a certificate of respect, gamosa, handkerchief and food items to all the grandmothers of the old age home, a press release said.
