AASU Pays Tribute to Bharat Ratna Dr Bhupen Hazarika on his Death Anniversary

GUWAHATI: The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) paid tribute to Bharatratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika on his death anniversary. AASU organized the programme to pay tribute to late Dr. Hazarika by lighting a total of 10,000 lamps in Dighalipukhuri.

Citizens from different parts of the city including artists, students, and litterateurs took part in the programme by lighting those 10000 lamps. AASU chief adviser Samujjal Bhattacharya, president Dipanka Kumar Nath, general secretary Lurinjyoti Gogoi formally inaugurated the programme by paying tribute in front of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika’s statue in Dighalipukhuri. Tez Hazarika, the son of Bhupen Hazarika also visited Dr Bhupen Hazarika Samadhi Kshetra in Jalukbari to pay tribute to his father.
