Abahan Theatre to Receive National Audiences

GUWAHATI: For the first time, a private theatre from Assam, Abahan Theatre has been invited at a national level for the screening of their play. The invitation has been extended by Assam Society of Bangalore, East Banglore Bihu Committee and Assam Bangalore Association.

The plays Mokora Jaal, Madhuri Mur Naam and Moi Maar Suwali will be screened on April 26, 27 and 28 at Sajapur Road, Banglore. These plays have been directed by Abhijeet Bhattacharya and have received high praises in the state.

Veteran actor Prastuti Parashar who portrayed her reservoir of talent through her impactful performances in the plays stated, “The technical instruments will move out on April 14 and all the artists including me will leave by train on April 21. Many nationally acclaimed artists have expressed their interest in the plays. We will have an interactive session with them. This is a really good sign and I am hopeful that this will be a beginning for more opportunities as such for regional theatres.”
