Accoland water sample in for test after multiple media reports

GUWAHATI, July 21: At last, the Kamrup (M) district administration seems stepping up tough measures against the management of Accoland, the city’s one of the biggest amusement and water park located at Pat Gaon near Rani. Notably, responding to multiple media reports a magisterial level enquiry against ‘Accoland’ was ordered by the Kamrup (M) deputy Commissioner Virendra Mittal recently following which a raid was conducted on Saturday at the park. The raid, which was led by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ranjit Konwar lasted for around 2 hours. The team revealed multiple anomalies in ‘Accoland’. Talking to the reporters, ADC Konwar exposed multiple anomalies that have been occurring over the couple of months at the park. He said that the water quality was not up to the prescribed standard. He clearly indicated the fact that the water that is being used for the sliding at Accoland has been sourced from a dirty pond located just behind the park. During the raid, the ADC was accompanied by Additional Police Commissioner Bibekananda Das, ACP Pranjal Bora, DSP, Fire and Emergency Service Bhakti Das and OC, Ajara police station Ashok Dutta.
