Achievement of Assamese youth in Stanford University

GUWAHATI, June 22: In this year’s Commencement Day of Stanford University recently, a youth from Assam, Ranjay Aditya Krish, was awarded MS with Distinction along with Christopher Stephenson Memorial Award for best research work among all Master’s students of the university. His thesis ‘Visual Genome: Crowdsourced Visual Knowledge Representation’ combines the Crowd and Artificial Intelligence to create knowledge base for visual learning was considered a distinctive research work. He was specially honoured by the university for this. He has already published eight papers and has 37 citations. He has been admitted to MIT, Stanford University & University of California Berkeley for the Ph.D programme with full fellowships. He has decided to join Stanford University as the Computer Science Department of Stanford University is considered the best for research work in Artificial Intelligence. Earlier Ranjay graduated from Ivy League Cornell University with double majors in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering with high honour of Mag-cum-Laude. Currently Ranjay is working in Facebook Research team on artificial intelligence before he joins for his Ph.D programme in September.
