GUWAHATI: After closing the Sure Life factory, Trappist-1, Rhino Aqua and some other unnamed unauthorized and illegal water bottling and packaging factories in the Kamrup (M) district on Thursday, the Task Force constituted by Deputy Commissioner Pallav Gopal Jha, comprising Circle Officers, Magistrates and food safety, GMC and police officials, on Friday carried out the mandate stringently and a number of unauthorised bottling and packaging plants were served with closure notices and they were enforced on the spot.
The establishments served with closure notices on Friday included 'Hello Water' operating out of Saukuchi, 'Heaven Dew' operating out of Dakshingoan, 'Pure Aqua' operating out of Dakshingoan and 'Piyasha Drop' of Lokhra.
Necessary instructions were also passed on to these operators regarding the requisite licenses to be obtained for operating such businesses.
According to Deputy Commissioner Jha, such operations will continue in full swing till all the errant business establishments are brought to book.
