Guwahati: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified its election campaign across the state in preparation for the upcoming Panchayat Polls, scheduled to be held in two phases on May 2 and May 7. Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, state president Dilip Saikia, Union Ministers Sarbananda Sonowal and Pabitra Margherita, along with other prominent party leaders, including ministers, legislators, and senior functionaries, are conducting a series of election rallies throughout the state.

Meanwhile, the state BJP has prepared its manifesto for the Panchayat polls, which is set to be released on Saturday. According to party sources, the manifesto will present a comprehensive roadmap for the development and progress of rural communities in the state.

In preparing the manifesto, the BJP has consulted informed citizens from across Assam to gather valuable feedback. Based on these consultations, the manifesto has been crafted with promises intended to resonate with people from all walks of life.

State BJP chief spokesperson Manoj Baruah expressed hope that the commitments outlined in the document will be widely accepted and embraced by the public at all levels.
