GUWAHATI: To maintain cleanliness in hospital bed linen, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has issued a directive to the hospitals to etch days of the week on each of the bed sheets used in patients’ beds.
This system does not allow hospitals to use the same bed sheet more than once a week. The bed sheet with Monday etched on it cannot be used on any other weekdays. The Chief Minister borrowed this idea from social media and made the hospitals of the state follow this practice.
