GUWAHATI: The Minister of Industries, Commerce, and PE, Government of Assam, attended the Assam Credit Guarantee Scheme Stakeholders Awareness Meet at NEDFI House on Thursday, a collaborative effort by Assam Industrial Development Corporation Ltd. (AIDC) and the Credit Guarantee Trust Fund for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE).

The event aimed at enlightening stakeholders about the groundbreaking Assam Credit Guarantee Scheme (ACGS), a transformative initiative for the state’s MSMEs. ACGS, designed to address the unique challenges faced by Assam’s MSMEs, was a focal point of discussion. The scheme, which fosters confidence between lenders and borrowers, strives to create an ecosystem of trust.

Acknowledging the MSME sector as the backbone of the economy, the Industry Minister underscored the pivotal role of initiatives like ACGS and central schemes like PMFME and PMEGP, initiated under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the ‘Mukhyamantrir Atmanirbhar Axam Asoni’ by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma.

Minister Borah highlighted the nation’s trajectory under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, moving towards all-inclusive Pragati, Vriddhi, and Vikas and emerging as a global Vishwaguru. The event witnessed the presence of dignitaries such as the Additional Chief Secretary, Dept. of Industries, Commerce & PE, Dr. Rabi Kota, Secretary, Dr. Lakshmanan S., Commissioner, Dept. of Industries, Oinam Saran Kumar Singh, and various eminent entrepreneurs and officials from lending institutions, stated a press release.
