GUWAHATI: The state Department of School Education has issued guidelines for the preparations of merit lists of the candidates for the posts of teachers in LP and UP schools for which the Director of Elementary Education published an advertisement.
The matters that will be taken into consideration while preparing the guidelines are:
(i) Back Office Verification (BOV): All documents in support of educational and professional qualifications should be sent to the addressee’s email as notified in the respective websites of the concerned issuing authorities for Back Office Verification (BOV) for ascertaining the genuineness of the documents. The candidature of a candidate should be rejected in the following cases.
(a) Unsatisfactory/fake BOV reports or,
b) BOV report not received within one month from the date of issue of the letter for verification.
(ii) Higher Secondary: In the case of higher secondary mark sheets and certificates issued from boards/institutions from outside Assam, the issuing authorities should produce an authenticated approval copy of the concerned state government/central government for the establishment of such boards/institutions for the genuineness of the boards/institutions along with the back office verification reports as sought from this office; failing which, mark sheets and certificates from the board/institutions, etc., should not be accepted.
(iii) Higher Secondary Betterment:
Original Higher Secondary Mark-Sheets and Certificates are to be produced along with the betterment mark sheets and certificates. Only mark sheets & certificates of the first betterment with the same subjects as in his/her original higher secondary examination should be accepted.
(iv) Graduate Degree: Certificates and mark sheets from UGC-recognised institutions/universities should be accepted as valid.
(v) Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)/Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.): Only two-year D.El.Ed. should be considered for lower primary posts. In the case of D.El.Ed/B.Ed., only the certificates and mark sheets from those universities/institutions that are recognised by UGC and NCTE should be accepted.
(vi) Medium of Instruction: The medium of instruction of the school the candidates wish to apply to should match with Language-1 or Language-2 of the candidate in his/her TET mark sheets/certificates.
