Assam Election 2026: Micro Observers Trained in Kamrup Metro

Micro observers deployed in Kamrup (Metro) for the Assam Assembly Election 2026 underwent structured training on polling duties, roles, and election process guidelines.

A formal training session for micro observers deployed in Kamrup (Metro) district was held on Wednesday as part of preparations for the upcoming Assam Legislative Assembly Election 2026.

The programme took place at the conference hall of the Office of the District Commissioner and District Election Officer.

The training was attended by General Observers Himanshekhar Gupta and Pradeep Kumar Krishnarao Dange, along with District Commissioner and District Election Officer Swapneel Paul.

Their presence reflected the administration's emphasis on ensuring that ground-level election personnel are adequately prepared ahead of polling day.

Master trainers conducted detailed sessions covering various aspects of the election process, with a particular focus on the roles and responsibilities of micro observers during the polling period.

Observers were briefed comprehensively on what is expected of them on the ground — from monitoring polling station conduct to ensuring procedural compliance.

Addressing the personnel, District Election Officer Swapneel Paul urged all micro observers to carry out their duties with discipline and sincerity.

The appeal underscored the administration's commitment to conducting free and fair elections across the district.
