DIMORIA: As per the government promise of 2018, Sonapur Revenue Circle has awarded cheques to the tea garden workers of Tepesia and Amsang. During demonetization, the Government assured Rs 5,000 to tea workers. While Rs 2,500 were paid previously, the rest was cleared on Saturday. MLA Atul Bora and Amsang Circle Officer Jennifer Yesmin Chowdhury distributed the cheques among 700 tea workers.
