Guwahati: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation’s (GMC) enforcement branch, along with the District Enforcement Officer (DEO), uncovered multiple violations at Hotel Maruti Nandan at Six Mile during an inspection. Among the key infractions was an expired trade license, which had not been renewed for the past two years. Officials also found the hotel in a deplorable condition, prompting immediate action. As a result, the DEO has initiated proceedings to seal the premises. GMC has urged all businesses in the city to comply with municipal bylaws and ensure their trade licenses are up to date to avoid similar enforcement actions. Authorities have warned that inspections will continue, and strict measures will be taken against violators.
