GUWAHATI: Along with the rest of the nation, the Kamrup District Administration is celebrating the 4th Good Governance Week—‘Prashasan Gaon Ki’Ore’—from December 19 to 24.
“Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore “2024 is a nationwide campaign aimed at fostering good governance. As part of the 4th Good Governance Week, the Kamrup District Administration has notified all offices of the Revenue Circles, Development Blocks, and departments as grievance redressal points to receive and dispose of public grievances related to matters within the jurisdiction of the respective offices and departments in order to redress public grievances and improve service delivery. The dates fixed for receipt and disposal of public grievances are from December 17 to 20 for the offices of the development blocks; from December 17 to 21 for the offices of the revenue circles; and from December 17 to 22 for all other departments. The Kamrup district administration has set a target to clear all grievances through CPGRAMS and has instructed the departments to dispose of all pending cases on the CPGRAMS portal within the grievance redressal dates. The departments have also been asked to raise awareness among citizens, enabling them to submit their issues in a timely manner. Furthermore, the departments are asked to maintain proper video, pictorial, and hardcopy records and submit daily reports to the district administration for uploading on the ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ portal.
In Kamrup District, Deba Kumar Mishra, District Commissioner, Kamrup, has assigned ADC Moonmi Kalita to oversee the campaign’s successful implementation. Additionally, a workshop on good governance practices and initiatives in the district will be conducted on December 23.
