GUWAHATI: A member of the Assam Police became the victim of an unidentified miscreant who managed to injure him with a blade. The incident took place in the BBC Colony locality in Pandu, Guwahati.
The victim was identified as Babul Das, posted as a commando in the Commando Battalion in Mandakata. He was visiting a rented accommodation when he found some people quarrelling. When he attempted to step in and stop the quarrel, one of the miscreants attacked him with a blade and fled. An FIR was given at the Jalukbari Police Station, and it has been suspected that the attacker was on narcotics.
