GUWAHATI: The APCC (Assam Pradesh Congress Committee) has decided to contest the civic polls in the state all alone.
Talking to media persons, APCC president Bhupen Borah said, "The Congress will not have an alliance with other political parties in the next urban body elections. But in the polls to a few autonomous councils, we might go for local-level understanding with others.
''The District Congress committees will make the final decisions in that regard.''
The elections to the urban local bodies might be held in February 2022 if the pandemic scenario is under control.
