GUWAHATI: The Personnel Department constituted a committee to prepare the service rule book for state employees. The committee will have the Secretary of the Personnel Department as the chairman, and the other members of the committee are the secretary of the Finance Department, the secretary of the Education Department, the secretary of the Public Work (B&NH) Department, the secretary of the Department of School Education, Dwipen Sarma, president of Sadou Asom Karmachari Parishad (SAKP), Dilip Kalita, general secretary of SAKP, Chandan Kakati, steering committee member of SAKP, Gunaram Gogoi, steering committee member of SAKP, Dharmendra Laskar, executive member of SAKP, and the joint secretary of the General Administration Department (GAD) as a member secretary.
A meeting was held between SAKP and the state government on September 22, 2023, and in regards to the meeting, this committee is constituted to formulate and amend the service rules for various departments and to monitor regularly so that service rules are prepared in a time-bound manner.
