Assam: Randomization of ballot boxes, poll officers completed in Kamrup (M)

GUWAHATI: In preparation for the upcoming panchayat elections scheduled for May 7, the Kamrup Metro district administration has been implementing all necessary procedures in accordance with the guidelines of the State Election Commission. As part of this process, the first randomization of ballot boxes and the second randomization of polling officers were completed on Saturday at the District Commissioner’s office.

The randomization process was overseen by Parijat Bhuyan, District Development Commissioner of Kamrup Metro. The event was attended by key officials, including Shuvlakshmi Deka, Election Observer of Jalukbari co-district; Gaurishankar Sharma, Election Observer for Dimoria co-district; the Block Development Officer of Chandrapur co-district; representatives from various political parties; and other officials.

The randomization process ensures the transparency and fairness of the electoral process, and the district administration is working diligently to ensure that the panchayat elections are conducted in a free and fair manner.
