Boko: Ahead of the RHAC election, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal and BTC Chief Pramod Boro jointly took part in an election rally for the RHJM and BJP-supported candidate of the 30 Bamunigaon Council Constituency candidate Ajit Rabha.
BJP President Dilip Saikia, Gauhati MP Bijuli Kalita Medhi, Palashbari MLA Hemanga Thakuria and many other BJP leaders took part in the meeting.
Dilip Shaikia said that the triple-engine government is planning to include the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council area in the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution of India with the aim of comprehensive development. He also announced that the tripartite meeting will be held in Delhi, which comprises the central government, state government, and leaders and groups of the RHAC area.
Dilip Shaikia said that some independent candidates are being led by night leaders in the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council elections and warned them not to divide the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council in the future.
BTR Chief Promod Boro emphasised that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought peace, harmony, unity and development from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Gujarat to the Northeast. Due to the NDA government, the RHAC has worked for the development of the Rabha people as well as all ethnic groups. Pramod Boro further said that the Chief Minister of Assam continues to try to solve the unemployment problem of Assam through Advantage Assam 2.0, and this is good news for the RHAC area too.
The union minister Sarbananda Sonowal said, "The Congress party could not reduce poverty during its rule. But Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a world record by empowering 25 crore people below the poverty line in 10 years." Sonowal emphasised Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown great humanity by providing free food to 80 crore people of India. Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal also said that Modi's 10-year tenure has moved the GDP up from 11th to fifth position. "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invested Rs 5 lakh crore in 10 years for the development of the Northeast through the Act East Policy," added Sonowal.
Appreciating the Assam CM Himanta Bishwa Sarma, Sonowal said that the investors from India and abroad will invest around Rs 5 lakh crore in Assam through Advantage Assam 2.0, and this will help solve the unemployment problem in Assam.
