Assam Tea Associations Express Gratitude To CM Sarbananda Sonowal, Himanta Biswa Sarma

GUWAHATI: The Joint Forum of ATPA, NETA and BCP has expressed satisfaction and would like to express their gratitude to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for keeping green tea leaf cess in abeyance for a period of three years and also for initiating welfare measures for the tea tribe community, said in a statement issued by Chairperson of Assam Tea Planters’ Association (ATPA) Nazrana Ahmed, Chairman of North Eastern Tea Association (NETA) Nepul Saikia and Chairman of Bharatiya Cha Parishad (BCP) Mrigendra Jalan.

In the budget speech, the Finance Minister has announced many welfare schemes for tea tribe community which is highly appreciable and these schemes will also be of help to the management in some way or other, said Bidyananda Barkakoty, Adviser, NETA.
