Assam: Will follow Centre’s restrictions on commerce with B’desh, says CM

Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the Assam Government will follow the direction of the Government of India in commerce with Bangladesh.

GUWAHATI: Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the Assam Government will follow the direction of the Government of India in commerce with Bangladesh.

Speaking to the media here today, the Chief Minister said, “The Government of India has imposed some restrictions on the use of the land ports of the Northeast for commercial matters on a few items with Bangladesh. We’ll execute the restrictions imposed by the government of India. The government of India took this decision to prevent some people, who we don’t want, from entering the region.”
