Assam's 'Ease of Doing Business' project bags award of appreciation

'Ease of Doing Business in Assam', a flagship initiative of Government of Assam developed by NIC (National Informatics Centre), Assam bagged the 18th CSI SIG e-Governance Award, in the Project Category – Award of Appreciation.

GUWAHATI: 'Ease of Doing Business in Assam', a flagship initiative of Government of Assam developed by NIC (National Informatics Centre), Assam bagged the 18th CSI SIG e-Governance Award, in the Project Category – Award of Appreciation.

The NIC is the Technology partner of Government of Assam for the Department of Industries and Commerce. The Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) portal and services were developed using the 'Service Plus' platform. The 18th CSI SIG e-Governance awards were presented at a function at Taj Mahal Hotel in Lucknow on February 12 by Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath. Kakoli Chaudhury, Senior Technical Director and Anuradha Barua, Technical Director both from NIC Assam State Centre and Santanu Deuri, Deputy Director, Commissionerate of Industries and Commerce received the award.

EoDB aims to drive forward the State's vision of prosperity for all- by employing technology, innovation, inclusivity and sustainability as key factors for development.

CSI SIG e-Governance Awards is selected through a multi stage assessment process by eminent personalities drawn from the Government, the Industry and the academia. It is an endeavour to acknowledge the significant contribution of Ministries/Departments of Central/State Government for envisioning Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as a means to achieve the goals for entering into a new Digital Era in e-Governance, stated a release.
