GUWAHATI: On the occasion of the death anniversary of Padmashree Nalinibala Devi Garigon Xahitya Xabha organized a book release and felicitation programme at Guwahati Press Club on Thursday.
Addressing the media the guest of honour Mrinalini Devi stated that lack of interest in language and literature in younger generation is glaring, and it should be eradicated for the preservation of the Assamese culture. Writing and reading habit should be inculcated from childhood to save our mother tongue, she said.
'Xopunor Ghura', 'Phenhujali' by Laila Begum and Koilaghat by GXX was released in the event.
