Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangha launches community helpline numbers due to lockdown

GUWAHATI: Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangha (BGP) — national social organization of Indian Gorkhas with 22 states and region units – opened its national helpline numbers from April 1 for people stranded in various cities and towns due to the 21-day lockdown to contain covid19 pandemic.

Anyone in any distress anywhere in the world due to the lockdown situation should call Akash Lama, National General Secretary (organization) BGP’s Nodal officer for the Covid19 Crisis – +919679479114; and +91908969195. He will, on behalf of the BGP, coordinate with local Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangha units and other fraternity organizations, local administration and extend all possible help. So far several stranded youths and hospitalized patients and families have been extended help.
