GUWAHATI: The state BJP has welcomed the government's move on crackdown of child marriages in Assam. Talking to the media, the state BJP spokesperson Dr Juri Sarma Bordoloi said, this move of arresting the child marriage offenders will give a big boost to women empowerment. The BJP workers will assist this drive. This operation will make a strong foundation of the Constitution of India, making people aware of other constitutional rights. Bordoloi further said, with this operation, child rights, women's health and other rights will be recognized.
