GUWAHATI: In accordance with a decision taken by the State Cabinet to provide cash awards to students who secured distinction/star marks in the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Assam High Madrassa (AHM) examinations 2022, the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has directed the Inspector of Schools of all district to alert the heads of institutions concerned regarding collection of bank account details of all eligible beneficiaries.
According to SEBA sources, this has been done in order to expedite provision of the cash benefit through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
The SEBA has opened a portal for students where can submit applications under the 'Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme' 2022. The portal can be accessed in the 'sebaonline.org' website.
The SEBA has also asked all concerned to ensure that the bank accounts concerned remain active at the time of submission of applications.
The applications will have be submitted online between July 15 and July 30.
