GUWAHATI: At a book launch event held at Guwahati Press Club, a book titled 'Akuki Kavita and Amuthi Golpo', authored by eminent senior citizen Ramanla Das Pathak, was unveiled.
According to a press release, the senior writer's book was unveiled by eminent poet Dev Prasad Talukdar, retired professor Naren Dutta, Deputy Editor of Dainik Asom Hiranya Kumar Barman and writer Soma Dutta. Eminent personalities present at the book launch ceremony congratulated the author. Speaking on the theme, distinguished guest Hiranya Kumar Barman said that "real literature is a perennial treasure for the world."
Artiste Mridu Goswami started the show by performing a Borgeet at the event, which was hosted by Banita Medhi. At the event, the author reminisced about the thoughts she had in mind from childhood to the present day. Writers Soma Dutta and Mridu Goswami enthralled everyone by reciting the poems of Ramanla Das Pathak at the event. Professor Shamim Akhtar and Anaraghya Pritam Das spoke on the occasion and urged everyone to welcome the author's new book. At the end of the ceremony Dr Dipamala Das offered the vote of thanks.
