Cigarettes of foreign origin seized at Guwahati station

The Railway Protection Force (RPF), Guwahati, is continuing its search for illegal goods inside trains on the eve of the impending general elections in the states of Meghalaya and Nagaland

GUWAHATI: The Railway Protection Force (RPF), Guwahati, is continuing its search for illegal goods inside trains on the eve of the impending general elections in the states of Meghalaya and Nagaland, and on that note, they recovered two unclaimed trolley bags Down Rajdhani express at Guwahati station on arrival at platform number one on Wednesday.

Both bags were brought to the RPF post, Guwahati and found containing 210 packets, a total of 4200 sticks of cigarettes of foreign origin which are super slim and light. It was seized and handed over to the OC GRP in Guwahati for action. The value of the items is Rs. 4,20,000.
