Guwahati: Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Gaurav Gogoi stated that if the Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma fails to protect the places of worship in Assam then CM Sarma should resign from the post.
APCC President Gaurav Gogoi on his social media handle said, “If the CM cannot protect the sacred places of worship like Namghar, Xatra, Doul, Devalaya, including temples, mosques, and churches, the CM should accept his failure and quit the post.”
Gogoi added, “Moreover, the chief minister should respect his rank while addressing the media. He should speak, maintaining the sanctity of the Chief Minister’s chairs while passing on comments. Commenting like a member of the troll brigade of the BJP loses the grace of his position.”
