GUWAHATI: Dr. Jayanta Kumar Goswami, Commissioner in Charge of Panchayats and Rural Development (P&RD) Department took stock of all the departmental works in the district through a video conference with the Zonal Development Officers of the districts on Thursday.
The meeting discussed the steps taken under the Mahatma Gandhi NREGA scheme under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department and reviewed the progress of the scheme. The meeting also discussed issues related to Area Officer App, Aadhaar Seeding, Work Completion, Timely Payment, and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) and directed the concerned officers to complete the work of the scheme more expeditiously within the stipulated time frame in the coming days.
The meeting was attended by Joint Commissioner of Panchayats and Rural Development Department Bipanchi Dutta, Assistant Development Officer Vivekananda Sonowal, and other departmental officers.
