GUWAHATI: A wild elephant from the nearby forest area entered human inhabited area in Basistha in the city on Tuesday morning. According to the local people, the elephant went berserk and entered Baikunthapur and Indira Nagar and damaged several houses. Local residents also said that forest personnel were not available to take stock of the situation.
