Formation of New Assam Civil Service Officers’ Association (ACSOA)

GUWAHATI: A special general conference of the Assam Civil Service Officers’ Association (ACSOA) was held on March 3, 2019 at the Assam Administrative Staff College at Jawaharnagar, Guwahati. The Conference was attended by a large number of ACS Officers representing all the batches from different districts across the State of Assam.

As one of the key agenda, the old Executive Committee of the Association was dissolved, and a new Executive Committee was unanimously elected and formed with Ashok Kumar Barman as the President and Udayaditya Gogoi as General Secretary of ACSOA, and creating a number of new posts. The new Excutive Committee, thereafter discussed a number of issues and relevant problems concerning the Service and the Association in general, and resolutions were taken marking a proper roadmap with a time frame fixed for addressing such issues and problems. The association also resolved to extend all support and cooperation to the Government in the implementation of its policies and programmes.
