GUWAHATI: Former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi demanded a judicial inquiry over who remains to be blamed for the alleged NRC fiasco.

While addressing the press on Friday, Gogoi said, “Names of several indigenous people have not made it to the final NRC. The moot question here is who is guilty for the exclusion of so many indigenous names that should have automatically made it to the final NRC?” Insisting on an FIR against the ones responsible for the exclusion of indigenous names against the final NRC, Gogoi further said that a re-verification of the people who did not make the list should be commenced without further ado. “I am sure that there are not more than ten lakh illegal immigrants in the State,” said Gogoi.
